It completely died out when he was turned into a chimera. Of course, there was Amelia. She would always greet any family or close friend with a giant sized bear hug. There was no doubt she had inherited this trait from her father.
So, along with Lina and Gourry, whenever he met up with Amelia, she would smile happily and greet him with a hug.
He'd always felt awkward about it, but as soon as he would about to tell her to not do it anymore the words would vanish. There was something about Amelia's puppy-dog eyes that made it hard to tell her no regarding things like this.
Strangely enough, over time, it began to feel natural. He certainly would never start hugging random strangers, but with Amelia it was fine. Zelgadis wasn't sure why, but he found himself enjoying her warmth as soon as she touched him.

Zelgadis sighed and exchanged a bored look with Gourry from his seat. He wasn't sure if two or three hours had passed since they had entered the dress shop. They had been on their way to the library, when Lina had spotted the "Everything is 50 percent off sign" in the window.
Within ten seconds the girls dragged the boys inside so they could try on some dresses. Zelgadis was bored to tears, and it did not help matters that it was getting close to noon. If he didn't get a cup of tea soon, he might just try going on a Lina-like like rampage himself.
